Science is extremely important and science never claims to hold the absolute truth.
I notice a fascinating behavior among many who consider themselves humanist. The majority feel that the enemy of humanist and secularism is Christianity, Such behavior seems to contradict reality. According to Human Rights Watch, and even according to Amnesty International Reports Fanaticism, Anti Science seems on the rise worldwide From India fueled by Hindu fundamentalism and militarism To other cultures Anti Science is on the rise Many humanists are very educated. but they react as inhabitants of isolated island, for them seems that the world is limited to Europe and America , and the only cultures are America and Europe. The rest of the world does not count EVen in America and Europe where the multicultural forces are on the rise and demographically increasing and will in the future surpass the present majority The humanist seems so isolated that they ignore the level of Anti Humanism and Anti Science which both in such multicultural forces and members flourish both in America, Europe and beyond Such narrow view of the planet is contradictory from sophisticated and well traveled people who usually are consider to have a global view How ignoring the world view, ( From Non Western cultures and their follower both inside and outside of America and Europe can help Humanists to be able to have an educated opinion and be aware of the state of Humanism both in America, Europe and worldwide Such closed minded and such narrow minded aptitude How can help the cause of Humanism Similar the Atheists groups just center in Christianity but they seems to ignore the rest of the religions Such self indulgent attitude How can Help to really advance or have an educated worldview of the state of Humanism Followers of Non Christians religions make up the overwhelming majority of Earth inhabitants and the Rising Majority in Europe and the Most Fertile Birth Rate In America they views, attitudes and usage and practice of Course Influence our Lives and Humanism both in America, Europe and World Wide Ignoring or Pretending that they do not exist it is childish and it seems an Enigma A very strange Phenomenon Which seems to flourish among the majority of Humanists Groups in America and Europe Humanism is about Free Inquire so using the Humanist approach Why such ignorance and such self denial of the views , feelings , ideas and the consequences both cultural , political etc which they hold for Humanism ? It is time that Humanists start to be less self centered and look around them , acquiring a more realist awareness of the broad spectrum of the population in which they live both in America and abroad Announcing a new meeting for Secular Humanist Society of New York! |
