As you may have heard, right-wing teabagger parties are instructing their members on how to disrupt townhall meetings on healthcare reform. More information here.

I did a little investigating, and found that the Colorado teabaggers are planning on disrupting a local meeting this Saturday: http://teapartypatrio...

If you believe healthcare reform is something worth fighting for, you might want to attend this meeting to show your support and fight back against the right-wing mob:

Aug 08, 2009
Time: 1:00PM
Title : Government in the Grocery (1:00-3:00pm)
King Soopers 500 Bromley Lane Brighton, CO 80601

Edit: I added a calendar note for this event.

There were a lot of people at the rally, but people were pretty well-behaved on both sides. There was a lot of loud chanting and some pretty heated debates going on in the crowd, but no incidents. The anti-healthcare crowd engaged in a lot of hyperbole, but I did have one reasoned conversation with a member of the opposition. He didn't change my mind, but he did bring up some good points. I would estimate that the pro-healthcare crowd outnumbered the antis by about 6 to 1, so that was a good sign.

Edit: Oops, I broke Meetup. I had some pictures here, but they were hosted on a private site, so it required a login. To view them, just go to the health care rally album on this site.

OK, it looks like I spoke too soon when I said that the people on the opposing side were well-behaved. Someone at the rally vandalized the car belonging to Ed Perlmeutter's chief of staff. I just found out about this last night. Apparently they did about $3000 worth of damage, so it was more then just scratching the paint.
