I'm really interested in organizing a Camp Quest here in Colorado for next summer. I'm thinking that the first year could be a one day camp like the recent one in Texas that seemed to be really successful. It was so successful that next year they're planning a week long camp. If anyone here is interested in helping plan/organize, being a counselor/leader, sponsor, provide resources or having their child attend, email me through my profile here or post below.

I think this is a great idea. I don't have kids, but if there is some way I could help, I would be glad to. We may be able to get HOC involved as well, at least in promoting it, if not more. Maybe you could come to one of our board meetings and discuss it. Our board meetings are held at 4 PM the second Sunday of every month at our normal meeting place.

I see you're already a member of all the active atheist/humanist Meetup groups. Here are some more people you might want to contact to spread the word:
Metro State Atheists - They put out a lot of information at the Auraria campus and a lot of college students have siblings that are around the right age for Camp Quest. Splendid Elles - This is a very widely read atheist blog written by a Denver girl not much older than the target age for the camp. |

I'm familiar with Metro State Atheists-I read their blog. That's a great suggestion-getting some college kids to help out would be fantastic! Thanks for the link to Splendid Elles, too.
