I've never met anyone who self-identifies as a humanist, and I'd like to change that. I'm really just looking to have some fun and interesting conversations.

How did you come across Humanism and/or Humanitarianism in general? How did you come across this Meetup in particular?
I ran across the following page in July 2005: http://www.secularhumanism.org/index.php?section=main&page=what Since then I've been happy to be labelled as a secular humanist. Found this group through a search.
