Introduction

I am a non-religious, humanistic critical thinker interested in meeting people and discussing topics such as science, critical thought, rationalism, sceptical issues, religious criticism etc.

What would you like to get out of the group? Philosophy? Growth? Friendship ? Chocolates ? Laughter ? Exchange of Ideas ?

I am willing to hear any point of view & will offer my unbiased opinion on any matter. I admit when i'm wrong & when i don't know the answers. I try to be well informed about the topics that i criticise & i seek all positions before taking a stance.

What are some strengths or experiences you would like the group to facilitate or organise?

I am an open minded person (but not so open that my brains fall out). I approach life with the tools of logic, reason and compassion and find that is all i need. I am very interested in getting involved in improving the public understanding of critical evaluation skills.

How did you come across Humanism and/or Humanitarianism in general? How did you come across this Meetup in particular?

Humanism from Dawkins, Dawkins from atheism, atheism from scepticism, scepticism from inquisition, inquisition from evolution. I came across this group through the NSW secular humanists site.

Additional Information

"Rachel and I have been seemingly isolated in the world of critical thought in western sydney/bluemountains area. Any body wishing to get involved in the west can contact either of us."
