Introduction

Humanism encapsulates the ideals that I stand for. I believe in a society where human rights are upheld. I think that the best answer we have so far is a secular liberal democracy where people can exercise their right to dissent.

What would you like to get out of the group? Philosophy? Growth? Friendship ? Chocolates ? Laughter ? Exchange of Ideas ?

All of the above. And by the way, as far as chocolates go, I only like the best - Lindt.

What are some strengths or experiences you would like the group to facilitate or organise?

Share meditation techniques. Discuss my experiences in being a member of Amnesty International. Perhaps have a creative art & drama workshop re: some human right topic etc

How did you come across Humanism and/or Humanitarianism in general? How did you come across this Meetup in particular?

Through the Atheist Website. I have also read a few articles on the website.
