Lori Lipman Brown returns to update us on how the past 12 months have catapulted nontheists into an even more prestigious position among members of Congress, theistic allies, and the public. From announcing the first "out" nontheist member of Congress to joining the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, the Secular Coalition for America is taking the mission to increase nontheist visibility and respectability to the next level. Lori will also update us on the hottest church-state topics in Congress in 2008, and tell us how we can take action.
Lori will be interviewed twice on Atheists Talk radio while she is here?on Feb. 17 by Minnesota Atheists and on Feb. 24 by Scott Lohman, Humanists of Minnesota president. Tune in to Atheists Talk on Sunday mornings, 9-10 a.m., AM 950 KTNF, or stream live at AirAmericaMinnesota.com.
Lori is a great speaker and it was really great to get the dirt on what's happening in Washington. The work she is doing is unique and really important. it was good to hear they will be hiring another lobbyist for secularism this year.
