NJHN is a growing and vibrant community of secular Humanists in Central New Jersey who believe that virtues like morality, kindness, justice and generosity derive from natural human values and reason, and are realized fully only when free from belief in supernatural powers and a spiritual afterlife.

Humanism is a democratic and ethical life-stance, which affirms that human beings have the right and responsibility to give meaning and shape to their own lives.

I'm an atheist who's interested in discussing religion amongst other things. It would be nice to find a little group solidarity without having to pretend I believe anything ridiculous to identify with people.

I want to find out more about humanists since I've read some of the beliefs and find a common belief system...hope to meet you all soon!

I've moved from confirmed catholic, to non-practicing catholic, to agnostic, to atheist. I heard a humanist give a lecture once, and thought it might be what I believed. So I'm here to learn more about it from like-minded individuals.

I would like to gather together peacefully with fellow humanists and learn more about what we can do to promote humanism in a world that seems to be getting more and more brutal by the day. We can't afford to allow the extremists to seize the tiller

I'm a freethinker who questions the role of the U.S. government in this shaky economy.
