Come join us for a slideshow presentation by Iris Bieri, who traveled to Iran as part of the Fellowship of Reconciliation’s eighth interfaith peace delegation, along with 14 others – including three Rabbis and the Minister General of the Society of St. Francis. They held interfaith dialogues with the people of Iran, including imams.
Our discussion will focus on present-day Iran: perspectives on Iranian society, culture and religion – and the lifting the curtain on US/Iran relations.
Iris Bieri is a Project Coordinator of the Conflict Resolution Program, focusing on armed conflict in the Middle East with the American Friends Service Committee. She studied Sociology and Anthropology at Earlham College, and spent two years living in Santiago, Chile, where she studied human rights and worked for Amnesty International. Iris is part of the Coordinating Committee of United for Peace and Justice NYC.
Suggested donation $5,
to be split equally between
NYSEC and AFSC.
