"OUR NEW FRIENDS"
(Developing new skill for newcomer welcoming)
When is it too much?
When is it not enough?
When is the best time?
What to ask?
What to tell?
Who to ask?
Who to tell?
Does personality matter?
How personal is too personal?
Does everyone have to be my new best friend?
This training is to explore the best possible way to interact with brand new people to our organizations. You will learn and practice easy-to-do new skills so that you can give your best when you meet someone new ? and so that they will be eager and excited to return for future meetings.
Please be on time! And be prepared to challange some of your own assumptions. Be ready to learn why being a welcomer can enrich your life.
This is a free training for all who want to build skills to welcome new people into their groups AND to have those newcomers come back.
(This will not be a training about what programs, events, or socials to get people to come.) It's simply about what happens when those newcomers come through the door and on providing the best kind of first experience for them. This is not a training just for designated newcomer volunteers. That will happen next month.
All are welcome to this free training, and no registration is required.
Starts at 2 p.m. sharp and goes to 3:30 p.m. Coffee, juice, tea, and sweets provided (donation encouraged).
If you have read all the details let the organizer know the passward "Help!"
See ya there and bring a friend!
