The chief goal of our group is to meet other local humanists, people who believe in the basic goodness of the human spirit without supernaturalism. To us, Humanism is a way of thinking and living that aims to bring out the best in people so that all people can have the best in life.
We take responsibility for our own lives locally and globally. We do this by emphasizing reason and scientific inquiry, individual freedom and responsibility, human values and compassion, and the need for tolerance and cooperation. Most importantly we must educate our children to think freely and critically.
We encourage discussions, specifically political or religious issues on our message board and in our meetings. Please post what you feel is important to the group for feedback and support. This is a place to share ideas and information to make our world better.
Bring your ideas for community action - political, environmental, parental, and let's figure out how to influence our world and leave a legacy for the next generation.
We are interested in everyone's personal journey so bring your baggage and share it with us.
